Devin & NOSA: Traveling the Rhythm Road!

 
Jazz at Lincoln Center (JALC) and the U.S. State Department of Educational & Cultural Affairs have chosen Devin Phillips & New Orleans Straight Ahead to participate in the legendary Rhythm Road: American Music Abroad program. The prestigious award reflects the program’s mission "to share American music as a vehicle of communication with other countries."

 
One of six bands chosen nationwide following a demanding audition, the Portland, Oregon-based Devin Phillips & New Orleans Straight Ahead were juried by some of the best in jazz, including Wynton Marsalis, the Artistic Director of Jazz at JALC.

 
Katherine E. Brown, Executive Director of JALC, says, "These artists have been selected from a national pool of applicants and reflect the talent and diversity of musicians across the United States."
